Wednesday, November 6 Classes

Hello Everyone,

Here is what we covered today:

Class Period 0

Reading Street, Pages 136-140:

Page 138: We talked about how to draw conclusions from facts and details we read from the text.

Page 139: We read a story about the history of gymnastics, where originated in Greece and expanded to Rome and the rest of Europe, eventually becoming popular in the US beginning in the 1970s.

Page 140: Learned about the meaning of the suffixes -ion and -ish. -ion, when attached to the end of other words, means the act or state of being. -ish, when added to the end of other words, means somewhat or like. If the word the suffix is attached to ends in an "e", the "e" disappears before adding the suffix.

Homework:

1) Homework: Write Week 11 Vocabulary #21-30

2) OKSensay Week 11 Read Aloud Assignment.
