Friday, September 6 Classes

Hello Everyone,

Here is what we covered today:

Class Period 1:

1) Took the Vocab quiz in class today.

2) Wrote in communication books.

3) Went over the test answers in class.


Class Period 2:

1) RWS Pages 256, 302. Page 256 involves finding spelling and punctuation errors using cultural vocabulary. Page 302 uses the same vocabulary and asks students to place the words in alphabetical order and complete a list with one of the words. We didn't finish the second part of Page 302, but will complete it next time.


Homework: 

Note: I will hand back the vocabulary quiz and practice sheet on Monday. Parents should sign the student's quiz and the student should make corrections (except for the blank answers in the listening and writing section) and give it back to me on Tuesday. The Thursday practice worksheet should be corrected and handed back also.

1) Create 10 sentences using any two words from the vocabulary for each sentence. Do not repeat the vocabulary words.

Discussed what was happening in the story and highlighted the vocabulary. The story is about how and why people explore the deep ocean and what can be found there. Class Period 7 Reading Street, Page 204-208: Started reading the unit story and discussed the story and vocabulary in detail. The story is about the exploration of the famous ship The Titanic. Monday, October 14 Classes

Hello Everyone, Here is what we covered today: Period 2: 1) I handed back the test and the worksheet from last Wednesday. 2) I handed back the "Friendly Letter" writing assignment and informed the students that they need to type up the letter on the computer and print it out for me or give to me on a USB drive. However, a USB drive will be preferable since I could print it out myself with the school's letterhead. 3) I talked about Sensay and told they students that they have a new assignment this week and to complete the past weeks' assignments. 4) I went over the new vocabulary for the new story "The Stormi Giovanni Club".
